Breakfast Menu
Daily we offer guests breakfast.
Guests are asked to each complete a menu card and Post in the Royal Mail Post Box the evening before.
There is a choice of Continental breakfast and or cooked breakfast. Also available are cereals, yoghurts, charcuterie and cheese etc.
Any special requests please do ask.
The following morning, having collected your bread and croissants fresh from our local boulangerie. Your breakfast basket and cooked breakfast will be brought to you at your chosen time either for you to enjoy on the terrace or in your gîte.

Arrival Supper
Depending on your arrival time you may wish to have our Arrival Supper.
We offer this to guests who either do not wish to eat out or cook after a day travelling or haven't had time to do any shopping.
We ask if you would like our arrival supper that you pre-order min. 48 hours in advance and both order the same dishes.
On arrival you can choose at what time you would like it served, either in your gîte or on the terrace.
Please be aware as we are in rural France - Restaurants are closed Sunday and Monday evenings and only one supermarket locally is open Sunday morning.

An Alpine dish of roasted potatoes, onion, garlic, smoked lardons and a creamy cheese sauce with grilled Reblochon cheese.
Parmentier de Canard or Beef and mixed salad
Shredded confit duck or minced beef with vegetables topped with mashed potatoes and grilled Comté cheese
Soup of the Day and an Assiette of Charcuterie, French Cheeses, Pickles and French bread

A French fruit tart and cream from our local Patisserie - 4.00€ per person

We ask that you each have the same dishes, as we are not a restaurant, but cook on the day per couple.
Please give us 48 hours notice if you would like our 2 or 3 Course Dinner.

French Onion Soup with a grilled Comté cheese crouton
Vichyssoise or Gazpacho chilled soup with croutons ( Summer )
Prawn cocktail on a bed of lettuce in a spicy Marie Rose Sauce
Salad of Grilled Goats Cheese coated in Provençal herbs with bacon lardons
Assiette of French Charcuterie and fresh bread
Terrine of Paté served with homemade pickles and toast
Main Courses -
Moule Frites Marinières - Fresh Cancale Mussels served in a white wine, garlic and cream sauce served with French fries.
Boeuf Bourguignon - Beef stew served in a rich beef and red wine sauce with mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables.
Chicken Makhani - Butter Chicken Curry (either spicy or mild) served with Basmati Rice ( pompadoms if we can get them )
Linguini Chilli Prawns- Linguini Pasta coated in a prawn, chilli, garlic and tomato sauce with a parmesan crisp.
Duck breast with an Asian orange sauce served with gratin potatoes and roasted vegetables.
Chicken breast stuffed with cream cheese and rolled in Jambon Cru with gratin potatoes and Garlic french beans.
Tartiflette - An Alpine dish of smoked bacon lardons, roasted potatoes in a creamy sauce with Reblochon cheese melted over the top and served with a mixed salad.
Homemade BBQ Beef Burger 300gm served with Comté cheese on a bun with mayo and salad - French fries. ( Summer only )
Mushroom Risotto - Parmesan cheese and mushrooms in Arborio rice
Vegetarian Lasagna served with a fresh salad

Dîner Gourmand
If you are celebrating an Anniversary, a birthday or for any other reason. We are offering our guests this special 4 course Gourmet menu.
As you are on holiday in France, all the dishes are French classics and many are from this North West region of France. The menu choice is a little indulgent, using the best of local produce.
We ask as we are not a restaurant that couples each choose the same courses. To enable us to shop and prepare your dinner, please can you give us 48 hours advance notice if you would like to have this dinner.

ENTRÉE
Coquille Saint Jacques dans une sauce gratinée et béchamel. ( Season - October 1st to May 15th )
A classic Normandy dish of pan-seared scallops served on puréed potatoes with a white wine and Comté béchamel sauce.
Tartare de Boeuf au couteau.
Raw filet of beef chopped with capers, mushrooms and onions.
Salade de Poires et Roquefort.
A light refreshing salad of braised Normandy pear served on rocket with a Roquefort cream dressing with crumbled Roquefort and walnuts.
Tartiflette
Individual Tartiflette - An Alpine classic of layered roast potatoes, smoked lardons, garlic and onions served with melted Reblochon cheese and lardon sauce.
Cassolette d'Escargots au Vouvray.
Escargots and mushrooms served in a hot garlic herb butter and a Loire white wine sauce with croutons.
PLAT PRINCIPAL
Bœuf en Croute
Local Charolais Filet of beef coated in a duxelles of mushrooms, spinach and Dijon mustard wrapped in puff pastry and served with a rich beef and red wine sauce.
Filet de Bar
Pan friend filet of Sea Bass served with a beurre blanc citron sauce and steamed asparagus.
Longe de Porc farcie à la Normande.
Stuffed loin of Pork served with a Normandy cider and apple sauce.
Faux Filet de Boeuf Forestière
Sirloin steak pan fried and served with a rich mushroom, shallot, calvados cream sauce.
Filet de Canard
Sliced filet of Duck pan fried and served with a wild mushroom sauce.

Custard flan with a caramel sauce and a hint of calvados covered with a caramel basket.
Crèpe Suzette
Pancakes coated in a caramelised sugar, butter and orange sauce. Flambéd in Grand Marnier.
